On January 12, Amanti, Dao, and Rouleau Crews met with Courtney McSparron, Program Director at Bethany Hill Place. Bethany Hill Place is a living and learning community of neighbors that provides independent, affordable housing and educational opportunities within a climate of respect, inclusion, and acceptance.
One of the things that makes Bethany Hill Place so unique is that residents who live there are required to set educational goals. These goals can involve anything that will help to improve their lives. For example, some residents work towards earning a GED while others take parenting classes.
Courtney spoke with our scholars about Bethany Hill’s mission and some of their current needs. As a result, our scholars will be collecting the following full size toiletry items for the residents of Bethany Hill Place:
- shaving cream
- toothpaste and toothbrushes
- bar soap
- body wash
Donations will be accepted through January 31, 2017 and can be dropped off in the collection box located in our cafe.
