David Beebe

Mr. Beebe joined the McAuliffe team in 2023. Having grown up in South Africa, the Philippines, the Sudan and Liberia, Mr Beebe considers himself a child of the global village. After college, Mr Beebe worked in the video game industry, eventually producing websites and managing teams of artists and programmers. He has spent the last decade teaching at large-population middle schools, and is excited to come work at McAuliffe as a seventh grade science teacher. Mr Beebe is looking forward to a smaller scale environment with a more hands-on focus. In his free time Mr Beebe swims, practices Aikido and spends time with his family. He has a son going into sixth grade and a daughter going into third grade.

Ms. Arora joined the McAuliffe team in 2022. Ms Arora is inspired by the type of work McAuliffe does with kids. At McAuliffe kids learn to apply their knowledge to solve real life problems via Expedition. She enjoys working with teenagers and helping them succeed. She loves the diversity in school and learning about different cultures.
Rodney Ward

Mr. Ward joined the McAuliffe team in 2005. He spent his first 12 years teaching Math and Science in 7th grade. In 2017, Mr. Ward made a new home in 8th grade and took on the Advanced Math Program, teaching Geometry in 8th grade, Algebra in 7th and 8th grades, and PreAlgebra in 6th grade. With a background in Social Sciences as well as Math and Science, Mr. Ward loves to integrate real world problems into his math curriculum, such as the mathematics of the Flint Lead Crisis. He is also well known by many McAuliffe Alum for his Algebraic Laser Cannon Battle Commander graphing game. He loves Expeditionary Learning and is excited to be starting his 19th year at McAuliffe!

Mrs. Cary joined the McAuliffe team in 2023. Mrs. Cary was drawn to McAuliffe because the community is very welcoming and she loves Framingham, in general. Having previously worked with grade levels ranging from elementary to high school, she found middle school to be her favorite. Mrs. Cary understands that this is an age where scholars are starting to find their voices, but still appreciate gentle guidance. She is proud to have a supportive team of colleagues and looks forward to serving her new scholars.
Kevin Yan

Mr. Yan hoined the McAuliffe staff in 2020. Being a teacher fills Mr. Yan with inspirations that extend beyond the classroom walls. The opportunity to ignite the flame of curiosity in young minds, to guide them toward discovering their passions, and to empower them with knowledge is a privilege like no other. Every day, he has the chance to shape the next generation, to instill values of empathy, resilience, and lifelong learning. As a teacher, Mr. Yan become a beacon of guidance, a source of encouragement, and a catalyst for positive change in the lives of my students. The inspiration lies in knowing that my dedication today will have a lasting impact on the leaders, thinkers, and contributors of tomorrow.

Mr. Heinlein joined the McAuliffe team in 2021. Mr. Heinlein joined the McAuliffe community from a legal background with the ambition to help students find success through middle school and beyond. He is inspired by the growth that McAuliffe students exhibit throughout the year, reflecting how much they’re learning both academically and socially.

Sra. Bernal joined the McAuliffe team in 2020. Sra. Bernal It inspires to have the opportunity to transmit to students part of other cultures and perspectives and that they can take with them a tool that is to know another language with them in their future and be part of their growth.

Monsieur M. joined the McAuliffe team in 2023. Drew Maggiore, otherwise known as Monsieur M. is very excited to step in as the new French teacher for seventh and eighth grade. He has loved languages from a very young age, and he’s so excited to share French language and culture with McAuliffe scholars. Monsieur M. spent 10 years living in the Netherlands and Italy, and he speaks Italian, Dutch and a bit of Portuguese, too! He lives in Lexington with his husband, two kids, two dogs and two cats, and he enjoys cooking (and eating), travel, CrossFit, (mountain) biking, watching movies and playing New York Times games.
Jennifer Gurin

Ms. Gurin started in the fall of 2023. Ms. Gurin enjoys working with children and adolescents, and she wishes to show them the joys of learning another language. Ms. Gurin’s goal is to present this as an opportunity for students to connect with their peers, with her and with others outside the classroom. Ms. Gurin hopes that over the course of the year, her students will learn to describe themselves and others in the target language. Ms. Gurin believes that this will also be a great opportunity for her to learn more about her students as they learn from her.

Ms. Teddy joined the McAuliffe team in 2018. Ms. Teddy is inspired to work at McAuliffe because she loves making a difference in the development of children every day. She not only loves sharing her knowledge with her students, but also loves to watch her students interact with others, learn creatively, and ultimately grow up to become happy and successful. For similar reasons, Ms. Teddy is also inspired by EL education because of the active learning and character growth principles, but she especially enjoys working at McAuliffe because of the incredible teamwork amongst ALL members of the community – students, teachers, and parents!

Mrs. Hart joined the McAuliffe staff in 2020. Mrs. Hart loves working at McAuliffe for many reasons- the top reason being the students and the staff who are here. The staff work tirelessly for their students, constantly showing students how much they are loved and cared for. The students at McAuliffe are enjoyable to be around because they have fun-loving spirits, and a desire to learn in ways that traditional schools do not use (i.e. fieldwork, camping/rafting trips, high ropes courses, etc). McAuliffe allows all teachers and students to become leaders in their school community, and this ability inspires both staff and students to be their best.

Ms. Chris joined our amazing team in 2005. Ms. Chris was inspired to join the McAuliffe team back when her son attended and she volunteered. She loved the feel of a family environment when she was around the students at the school. She really enjoys the EL way of learning, and loves to see the growth in the scholars when they come back to visit her.

Ms. K joined the McAuliffe team in 2022. Ms K had a passion for this field for a long time and so as I got my work permit here in USA I started looking for job. Fortunately, I got the first call from this school and without giving it a second thought I accepted the offer. Although, it is too far from my home but as I am learning a lot here and improving my skills each day so, I would love to be its part for near future. The fun learning environment with all enthusiastic mentors is one of the key spirit of this institution. The aligned professional learnings is an add-on that enhances ones personality of this family.

Mrs. Rish joined the McAuliffe team in 2017. Mrs. Rish first came to McAuliffe as a parent; two of her four children are McAuliffe alumni. When the opportunity was available, Mrs. Rish joined the staff as the ELE (English Learner Education) coordinator and teacher. She is passionate about the English language, writing, and helping students live up to their full potential. Mrs. Rish believes that the HOWLs and building a kind and empathetic community are the keys to student success.

Mrs. Bogue joined the McAuliffe team in 2010. In 2004, Mrs. Bogue set out to find the best middle school in Framingham for her four children. When she toured McAuliffe, she knew she had found it. The students AND the teachers she met were excited about learning. They were honest about what was challenging. They were also confident that their “crew” would support them. They spoke about their values as much as they did about the work they were doing. Nearly twenty years later, Mrs. Bogue is still in love with the crew, the learning, and the values that are McAuliffe.

Miss. Smith joined the McAuliffe team in 2019. Miss Smith believes that McAuliffe is a place that is dedicated to helping all students become thoughtful and innovative citizens. Expeditionary Learning is designed to help students think deeply about complex topics and push themselves to do more than they thought possible. Miss Smith loves working with McAuliffe students and especially enjoys being able to teach all three grades every year. She really enjoys teaching technology, but also helping teachers to integrate technology in their classrooms.

Mr. Norgaard joined the McAuliffe team in 2021. Mr. Norgaard wanted to find a community that he could call family. He has a diverse background and love for all entities of Wellness that he wants to share with all scholars. His passion goes way beyond just the classroom setting.

Mr. Feldman joined the McAuliffe team in 2023. Mr. Feldman is a passionate and energetic teacher who enjoys staying active through all kinds of outdoor activities. He believes that Experiential Learning is makes a key difference in the development of young students, and that the educational should be an adventure.
