McAuliffe’s Sport Teams

McAuliffe’s Sports Teams provide scholars with opportunities to participate in a variety of after school sports. Registration is $150 per sport. Registration for all athletics will take place in the MySchoolBucks App within the PowerSchool Parent Portal. McAuliffe competes in the Massachusetts Charter School league in the following sports:

Fall: Coed Cross Country and Coed Soccer (not being held fall 2020 due to Covid-19)

Winter: Boys Basketball and Girls Basketball

Spring: Coed Track and Field

The McAuliffe Athletics Department is excited to announce the start of the Athletics Spring season.

We’re excited for our Spring Athletics Season which offers Co-Ed Track and Field.
Interested athletes will need to collect a packet from Mr. Dao or the font desk starting this Monday April 26th. The packet will contain all necessary info and requirements. It will need to be completed and returned to Mr. Dao by Friday April 30th at the latest.

Please click here to express your interest.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: According to State law, any scholar who is seeking to participate in any school sports team must have a physical current throughout the whole season. If your scholar’s physical doesn’t meet this requirement, it is critical that you schedule a physical prior to the first track day.

Mr. Dao is McAuliffe’s Athletics Director. Please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Dao by email if you have questions or need any assistance: kdao@mcauliffecharter.org.

If your family qualifies for free or reduced lunch, you may be eligible for financial support. Please email Dayshel Reid at dreid@mcauliffecharter.org to discuss your family’s eligibility.

We are looking forward to a fun-filled and successful Spring Season! Be in touch if you have questions!

Scholars are expected to follow McAuliffe’s Behavior Expectations and Code of Character for all athletics participation. Repeated failure to do so may result in the student being removed from practices/and or games. It should be understood that all participants are STUDENTS first and athletes second. In order to participate in our Charter school league, students must adhere to league, school, and athletic policies outlined in handbooks that must be signed in order to participate

Transportation for athletics at McAuliffe does rely on car-pooling. The coach will set up a sign-up genius to organize transportation for both practices and competitions. Please keep in touch with the coach, your scholar-athlete, and the sign-up genius to stay aware of scheduling and transportation.

When a student attends school, but will not be attending a practice or competition, please notify the coach of the plan. If a student is absent from school, they are not allowed to participate in afterschool sports that day.
